Tekna HBOT systems are configured to your clinical and facility requirements. OPES ORION advises on the right fit for your patient volume, space, and budget.
Single-patient system pressurised with 100% medical-grade oxygen. Compact footprint — ideal for specialist clinics and hospitals beginning an HBOT programme.
Multi-patient system pressurised with medical-grade air. Patients breathe 100% oxygen via hoods or masks. Medical attendants can accompany patients inside the chamber.
⭐ Recommended for Malaysian Hospitals
The world's most advanced hyperbaric design. Passes through standard 3-foot hospital doorways — zero demolition. Expandable from 2 to 24 patients by adding modular sections over time.
| Design Factor | Traditional Cylindrical | Tekna Modular Rectangular ⭐ |
|---|---|---|
| Installation Logistics | Cranes, heavy rigging, wall demolition required for large units | Passes through standard 914mm hospital doorways — zero demolition, zero civil works |
| Spatial Efficiency | Wasted curved interior space, awkward room placement against walls | Maximised rectangular efficiency, flush to walls, optimal floor space utilisation |
| Critical Care Access | Narrow, elevated round hatch restricts patient transfer from stretcher | Floor-level rectangular door, full ICU stretcher and wheelchair access |
| Patient Experience | Cramped tube-like environment, high incidence of claustrophobia | Room-like sanctuary with extra legroom, fibre optic lighting, ECU comfort |
| Scalability | Fixed capacity — new unit purchase required to increase throughput | Expandable from 2 to 24 seats by adding modular sections — no new unit required |
| Hospital Fit | Major civil works often required for existing hospital buildings | Installs in any existing room with standard door — ideal for Malaysian hospital retrofits |
HBOT is the administration of 100% oxygen at pressures greater than 1.4 ATA — typically between 2.0 to 3.0 ATA in clinical settings — in a series of treatments.
Under hyperbaric conditions, oxygen dissolves directly into plasma — independent of haemoglobin — enabling delivery to hypoxic or compromised tissues unreachable by red blood cells alone. This is the mechanism that makes HBOT effective where conventional wound care fails.
HBOT is the standard of care for 14+ recognised indications. Malaysian hospitals have the clinical, regulatory, and policy foundation to deploy today.
HBOT has been assessed by the Malaysian Health Technology Assessment Section (MaHTAS), Medical Development Division (2006). Chambers have operated in Malaysian hospitals since 1996. The MOH framework supports HBOT for approved indications in public and private facilities. Private sector indications have since broadened beyond the initial FDA list.
OPES ORION sells and installs the system — your facility runs the clinical programme. Use this to estimate the revenue potential for your internal budget justification.
An HBOT facility is a fully integrated system. OPES ORION coordinates every component as a single turnkey delivery — from chamber to gas room to commissioning.
